What is APS’s response to the 2026 settlement? +
In June 2026, APS and other settling parties reached a $30 million civil settlement with the United States to resolve allegations involving referral arrangements and testing. The settlement did not determine liability. APS’s focus today is delivering gastrointestinal diagnostics, supporting physicians and patients, and meeting its ongoing compliance obligations. APS is CAP-accredited and has expanded its footprint. Lacey Davis serves as Chief Compliance Officer. Our commitment is to pair pathology expertise with clear communication, personal service, and responsible laboratory operations.
The public announcement also describes a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement with HHS-OIG, including auditing, training, and review of referral relationships.
